Elegant,Charming Palazzo - September 2010

We recently spent four nights at the Palazzo and were very pleased with our visit. It is an elegant small and intimate hotel with beautiful furnishings. The rooms are large and well appointed. The bathrooms were spotless and lovely...updated. We loved the breakfast room with its fabulous chandelier and complete service of food. The rooftop bar is worth the climb to see the vista of the city of Florence.
The staff is very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It is in a great location, easy to get to parts of the city. Not like a big chain hotel, but like you are a guest in a private palazzo.
The street rooms can be noisy, we had a quiet suite in the back.
My husband used the fitness room and said that the equiptment was very good. The coffee and tea service in hallway was great for getting a cup of tea in the morning or evening.
All in all , a charming, welcoming and lovely place to stay in Florence.

A glorious place: the complete antidote to bland, faceless, boring hotels - August 2010

I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Tripadvisor, and it didn't disappoint.
It's a beautiful building in an exceptionally convenient but (for Florence) quiet location. As soon as I arrived I felt as if I was staying in a discreetly classy place. All the staff I met were gracious, welcoming and very helpful (especially Francesca). I stayed in the Lucrezia suite - downstairs with one bed - and it was wonderful. The rooms themselves were exceptionally well appointed, gloriously clean and comfortable, and I really got a sense that I was staying in a proper Florentine house rather than a faceless and anonymous hotel.
The service was excellent: from the help and information available, to the turn-down service, free newspaper and refereshments available in the corridors.
And the terrace view in very special.
I love this place, and felt indulged by being able to stay there; saving up my money was really worth while. I hope other travellers get to enjoy it too.

An amazing experience for less than you would think! - August 2010

We stayed in the junior suite for two nights as a wedding anniversary treat - my husband had kept the hotel and room a secret so to enter a room filled from floor to ceiling with a c17 fresco was overwhelming!
The room is wonderful fun - a little simpler than some of the bigger suites on the website but had all the comforts of home down to a handpicked selection of CDs for the player.
The antique lift and amazing breakfast room all add to the feeling you have stepped back in time but with staff who are genuinely friendly and not a hint of haughtiness it was an absolute joy.
The roof terrace for drinks is amazing for views and ambience - a unique place and all for less than the nightly tarrif in a London standard room - we will return!
I would recommend this for a couple planning a honeymoon or anniversary or anyone who loves romance!

Feel Like Royalty! - from June 2010

I spent four nights at this incredible Palazzo last month and cannot recommend it highly enough. I was visiting Florence for the first time with my mother and chose to stay here based on the reviews on this site. I did not regret it - it really is the most incredible hotel. There are 12 suites and they are HUGE! Everything is in keeping, apart from the bathrooms which are very moden and have every amenity. If you want to feel like a Florentine Prince or Princess, stay here!
The staff are incredibly helpful and the hotel itself is situated just 5-10 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio on the "quiet" side of the river.
There are 60 steps up to the rooftop bar but try to make it if you can - the view is spectacular and the prosecco and almonds never tasted better.
A big thank you to Daniel, Elisabetta and the rest of the team for helping to make our stay so memorable. We would not want to stay anywhere else if visiting Florence again!
