I've lost track of the multitude of friends, family, acquaintances, friends of friends, etc. who have come to Florence in the fifty odd years that we've been living here. Naturally, each expects us to know exactly where to stay, where to go, where to dine and since we live rather secluded lives on our hilltop, I have often been at a loss to provide the necessary information. No longer! Since the Palazzo Magnani Ferroni appeared on the scene several years ago, I no longer have any doubts whatsoever! First of all, the location is perfect, a few steps from the center of town within easy reach of all of the wonders that Florence has to offer. Secondly, the suites are magnificent - no other word quite describes them! Add to this the fact that the staff is wholly professional, ready both to offer guidelines, make reservations - be it to museums, to restaurants or for excellent guided tours of the city. Now my role is simply to turn guests and their needs over to the excellent staff and limit myself to the sheer enjoyment - free of all responsibility - of playing gracious hostess. My profound thanks to the owners and staff of the Palazzo to whom I shall continue to turn in the future.
